Prime, the Australian network shows 'The Bill' in New Zealand - for which much thanks. It screened on TVNZ for years but got ditched during a ratings war.
Anyway, will someone please tell me why so many cast members left after the Don Beech investigation? Did they go of their own accord or were they written out?
Thankfully, PC Reg Hollis is still on the job.

Actually it's Prime that have been showing TB for years. They used to be owned by the company that owns TV3&4, not TVNZ. Prime recently ran out of money and went sprialling into debt, Kerry Packer of Chanel Nine (Aus) made a deal. He would provide us with Aussie programs and by 2006 he would own half of Prime.
So Prime isn't Australian.
Don Beech Scandal:
Here's why the various people left:
DS John Boulton: Died DS Don Beech: Ran off to Aus with CIB chasing him DS Claire Stanton: Left coz her CIB operation ended DC Kerry Holmes: Couldn't handle the pressure, applied for transfer DS Geoff Daly: Was transferred by Guy Mannion coz he wanted a "new CID" DI Chris Deakin: Same as above, but was sacrificed by Jack meadows Chief Super. Charles Brownlow: Resigned coz he knew he would be chucked out anyway
I think that's all of them.
