Hi
I have it on good authority that the Metropolitan Police Service aresuiing Freemantle over The Bill. Apparantly PM breached the terms of their agreement to use Met equipment in recent story lines.
If this follows through TB could be in serious trouble. They would not be allowwed to use ASP's or Speedcuffs and have to changer theri uniforms and cars.

Hmm that isn't a good thingit could mean all sort of problems the show and get rid of a lot of the realism of the show.

If this went ahead, it'd be a real shame, and would surely mark the end of The Bill

Not even the Met can stop them using ASP's and kwik cuffs as they are made by ASP and Hiatt.
If this rumour is true it would more than likely have something to do with logos, uniforms and accuracy of storylines.
Being a police officer in the Met and a watcher of the bill, I sometimes wonder where they get their ideas from. My wife regulary hears me say "Thats not how its done"! I accept that there is a need for dramatic licence, but sometimes it is stretched too far
The Met has had its problems in the past, and to a degree continues to be dogged by them. Sometimes The Bill does not help to improve the public perception of the police.

I thaught ASP's arer an offensive weapon. I remember having to apply for a licence from the home office to have one in acollectors case.

If it is true that the MET are sueing the Bill. Then The Bill should work with the MET not against. Other wise they will loose their right to use anything to do with the MET.

They deserve to be sued. Given the pure tripe and drivel they're churning out these days. God!! Its getting to be like "Days of Our Lives' or that God-awful Eastenders show. Bring back some of the punch "The Bill" was famous for. Get rid of the boo-hoo crap that is currently infesting the programme. I mean, the Luke Ashton saga; the Cathy Bradford saga; Polly and the the dying doctor - give me a break!!! Scorpatus

There was a time when each epoisode was independant, In one way, that was great.
But now there is continuety with the episodes, It makes it pure hell if you miss an episode!!!!!
Although I quiet enjoy watching a storyline worked all the way through to the end.
