I'm not completely sure but when i was watching "Holligans" The local Cardiff police had WX on there helmets which makes them *tries to remember Phonatic Alphabet* - Whiskey Xray but i'm not sure ill keep an eye out next time Cardiff City play!

Well where i live is patrolled by Surrey cops, the nearest Met station is Hounslow and thier call signs are i think T X

all hampshire ones begin tango as TANGO is their code name on the 999 system.
